Jesse finished setting the beams and posts in our kitchen last night! They look really cool! Our island will be built around the 3 posts. We are planning on dropping lights down through the beams in the ceiling over the island area. Jesse tells me every night when we get home from the new house "One Day Closer." We are planning on staining the posts and beams this weekend and then Jesse is going to wrap them in heavy plastic to keep them protected during the sheet rocking phase. Byron, our cabinet guy, is coming on Friday to get the exact measurements of the island now that the posts are set in place.
