FINALLY SOME HOUSE PICTURES!

Sorry it has taken me FOREVER to get some updated pictures of the house for all of you! I think several of you have thought I dropped off the face of the earth! We are all doing great enjoying every minute in our new home! There are still some little things inside to complete...building shelves in closets etc. As for the outside...We are going to be busy for a long long time :) And of course as you can see we have got to get some furniture...piece by piece!

This beam in the corner is actually one of Jesse and my favorite little touches! We almost didn't get this done because of time before the sheet rock was going in...but we are so glad that we did! The living room...with our beautiful fireplace! We need to find a tv stand to go on the wall that the bobcat is on. We would like to find one that the bobcat can fit on top of. Looking into the kitchen and dining area from the living area. Kitchen...looking into the living area. We are starting to get some pieces of furniture...and getting them decorated! As you can see we are combining mine and Jesse's taste. I feel like it is turning out nicely! Jesse loves to hunt as you all know so I wanted to bring his favorite pieces in also.

The Phases of Construction on our Fireplace

Here are a few pictures of the consturction process of the fireplace! Jes did an another AMAZING Job! The Final Product of our Fireplace! Jesse worked hard for a couple of weeks to get the fireplace just right!
The mortor going on! This was right at the begining of the process.

We're Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

It has been a bit since I put some pictures up of the house! Since the last post about our house we have moved into our basement and are working on the main floor. Jesse started laying the hardwood and it is going to be beautiful! Light fixture are almost all completely hung and the painting is finished except for a little bit of trim work that I need to get done! Being in the basement has it's advantages and disadvantages! The advantages are that we are all there together and we are able to keep working on the house even after the girls go to sleep. The disadvantage is that we can keep working on the house even after the girls go to sleep which means we are putting in some LATE nights! :) I am sure these late nights will all be worth it in the end!

This is our bedroom. Light Fixture is hung!

We Are Almost In...To the Basement That Is!!

We have been working hard to get the basement finished so we can get moved in next week! We are so EXCITED as I am sure you all know:) Things are really starting to come together and it is really starting to look like a home!! We have really learned how truly blessed we are with family and friends through this process! They have helped any so many ways...doing laundry, helping run our kids to soccer practice and even games, coming out to the new house and helping clean, painting, hauling dirt and rock for our yard, letting our family use big equipment, staining trim and doors, wiring our house, giving up their own personal family time to help us, whatever it has been our friends and family that live around us have been here to help! We love you all so much! Words can't explain how much it all has meant to us!!

We Are Painting!

WOW!! Jesse and I have decided that this house building thing is a little CRAZY!! Yes, we are having fun, but we both enjoy a little structure in our life...STRUCTURE?... we might as well forget about it!!! Right now we are just along for the ride!! So the sheet rock is done and we are now painting! Our guest bathroom, laundry room, basement bathroom, and game room are all finished! The basement bathroom is a light denim blue, and the game room is a tan. Hannah's room is a bright yellow. She absolutely LOVES it!! I was a little worried about her being able to fall asleep in there but she said, "How could anyone be sad in my room? It looks like the sun is shining all the time." The color definately fits her personality! We are finishing Hannah's room this week and hopefully getting Allee's room started! The girls have had a great time picking out colors and painting their rooms :)

We chose a deep red for the guest bathroom and laundry room. This picture makes it look brighter than it is in person.

HOUSE UPDATES

We wrapped the beams and lights around our island area to help keep the sheetrock dust off! My favorite view from the road! The view from the driveway as you pull into the house!
Well here is the latest pictures of our house! The front is almost completely done outside! We still need to put the wood shutters on the windows and the light fixtures on the porch. We are so EXCITED about how it has turned out! Mike has done an absolutely beautiful job! Insulation is complete! Our drywaller is there this morning! YAY!! He said that it should take 2-3 weeks for him to get finished! As always, please continue to pray for our decision making!
Enjoy your weekend!

Lots of things are changing!

This is the back of our house. This is the view out the windows on the back of our house.
This is the window looking out into our backyard. These beams and posts will be on each corner of our island. Our corner fireplace that Jesse built. It will be rocked when it is all said and done. Our front door!
This is one of my favorite pictures! This is the view you see from the road!
Lets see...Lots of things have been going on around our house recently as you can see! But we are now at the stage that you just don't see many changes on the inside! Our plumbing is in! Our electric is almost done, Thanks to Heath! Our HVAC should be getting finished up in the next couple of days! And of course my favorite part is our stucco and rock is going on the outside of the house! I LOVE IT!! The back is finished, one side is finished and Mike started on the front yesterday!! YAY!! I can't wait to see what the front is going to look like!
He has done such a great job!
Originally we were going to go with a tan or brown with our stucco color. But we were afraid that with our roof, our brown toned rock, our brown posts and beams, and our brown door we were going to get a little too BROWN... so we went olive green... It is BEAUTIFUL! I am so happy with our decision! The front is going to have stone around the garage, around our front door, and all the corners are going to be stoned.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to make decisions on our home!
Hope you all are having a WONDERFUL Summer!

Beams and Post are Set!!

Jesse finished setting the beams and posts in our kitchen last night! They look really cool! Our island will be built around the 3 posts. We are planning on dropping lights down through the beams in the ceiling over the island area. Jesse tells me every night when we get home from the new house "One Day Closer." We are planning on staining the posts and beams this weekend and then Jesse is going to wrap them in heavy plastic to keep them protected during the sheet rocking phase. Byron, our cabinet guy, is coming on Friday to get the exact measurements of the island now that the posts are set in place.
Hope you all are having a great week!

Updates on the House

This has been a long process for Jesse. When we started working toward the dream of our new home Jesse cut down the trees and cleared out the brush where our house would sit. He put a lot of thought into where the best placement on our lot would be for our home and our driveway. He spent countless hours on designing our home on the computer. I would find him at all hours of the night changing something that he didn't think was going to be just right. He researched and figured out a way to pipe the water from the spring that we hit around our house, when they started digging the hole for our basement. I will have to say that I have learned that my husband is pretty handy to have around through this process. I had NO idea that he could do everything that he has been doing on the house. He has set our tub and shower units. He helped the builder set a couple doors and the big windows and then he tackled the rest of the windows and doors by himself. He has moved dirt with the tractor and ran the back hoe. These are just a few of the things that Jes has tackled through the project. I just hope he knows how thankful the girls and I are for him putting in so much time to make the house perfect for us!
Thank you Jesse for all your hard work! We Love You!
Doors and Windows are being finished up. Soffit and Facia are going on and I think the Stucco is going to be started later this week!
Our AWESOME friend Heath is helping us run the electrical wire!
We can't express how grateful we are to him and Lori for giving up their personal family time to help us with our new home! THANKS Heath and Lori!
This picture is an older one but it gives you an idea how far we have come.

Rain Rain Go Away, Come Back When Our Roof Is On...:)

Well with the rainy week behind us maybe we can have a week of sunshine so they are able to get the roof on our house! Wouldn't that be AWESOME!! Emma had her last day of preschool last Thursday. Hannah and Allee have their last day of school on Wednesday! The school year is coming to an end and then we are going to start our calm summer...well hopefully! The girls have both done great in school again this year! Jesse and I have been truely blessed with such good girls! Emma and Allee both got their hair cut this weekend and it looks adorable! Allee says to Emma today, "I think your new hair cut, cut off your sassyness." Emma says back to Allee "well I think your new hair cut, cut off your meaness." CRACK ME UP!! Lets see if they still think that in a few days, so far as of tonight it worked!

Moving Right Along

Well, since the last time I posted pictures of the house project we have really moved right along. The framers have the basement completely framed, sub floor put on, and the main level exterior walls built! The should be standing up the exterior walls and starting the main level interior walls this week...that is if they don't get rained out! They are doing an excellent job and the concrete crew did an amazing job as well! We can't thank everyone enough for working so hard on our home! My dad has became a dump truck driver and has hauled in countless loads of rock and dirt so Jesse can get the ground leveled out! Thank you to all of you that have been praying for us, we know that there are several of you! We hope that you will continue to pray with us to make good decisions as we pick out things for the new house!
