Emma's 1st Soccer Game!!

Well we found it only fitting for Emma to take a shot at playing soccer too since both of her big sisters LOVE it!  Not sure if she will continue or not but it was sure cute watching her play :)  It drove the big girls crazy watching her...they thought they needed to be on the field coaching her along!

I couldn't think of a more proud Papa...We had a shirt made for both of the girls Papas for Christmas this year :)
We chose Bolivar Blue so they could wear them to the kids school events and on the back we put all their Grandkids names!
Emma in action :)

Penny has to come and help cheer the girls on too!

There she goes :)

Love this one!....looks like she is soooo in to the game!

Emma's Kindergarten Class making gingerbread houses!

Wow fun times in Mrs. Buckner's Kindergarten Class!  What an AWESOME teacher she is to take on letting here kindergartner's each make their own gingerbread house!  After lots of creativeness and honestly not as big of a mess as I figured it would be, they had their completed masterpieces!  I was honored to be able to be in the classroom and help with this fun project!

Emma's Kindergarten Field Trip

Emma had a big time at her field trip to the pumpkin patch!  The played in the corn boxes, corn mazes, picked out their own pumpkins, rode and a wagon, and much, much more!  Emma is having a blast in kindergarten!  She has a great teacher and a good group of little friends!  She hasn't cried once to stay at home and looks forward to going everyday!  Needless to say, I'm sure we made the right decision starting her in kindergarten this year :)  Before we get into the pictures I just want to tell you Emma just got over a horrible case of pink eye so her eyes look a little tired still in most of the pics!

Emma had to search for just the right pumpkin!  Here is her winner :)

These were the cutest little wagons

We took this picture inside a tent, hence the orange coloring...but it was such a sweet smile I couldn't pass it up!

Emma LOVED the pigs!  Give her some animals and some dirt and she is 1 happy girl!

Emma's 1st Chance Camp

Emma and I went to church camp with a large group from our church Monday and Tuesday.
She had a GREAT time spending time with some of her old church friends and made some new ones!
We are so BLESSED to have a church family that we love to serve alongside each other at camp.
I hope there will be many more camp trips to come with this bunch :)

Great Group of kids and sponsors!

Another Funny Emma Story

My mom picked Emma up from preschool this morning and took her to lunch with my dad. They took her to KFC. She was looking out the window and eatting slowly so my dad says to her, "Emma you need to turn around and eat and stop looking out the window." Emma turns to him and replys, "POPPIE, I can still eat while I'm looking out the window." Then she turns to my mom and says, "Grandma do you remember when I was really sick and you took the girls there to eat and my mommy took me on home?" Mom said that she was looking out the window at Subway. Grandma said, "Why yes Emmie I do remember that but that was a long time ago and I'm surprise that you still remember that." (Emma had to go to the Emergency Room last winter because she kept running an extremely high fever and our family doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. So when her fever came up again and the doctor's office was closed I took her to the ER. They ran some test on her and took x-rays to check for punemonia) So Emma replies to my mom, "Grandma, that Doctor took my shirt off and took pictures of me." Grandma says, "Yes Emma they were trying to see what was wrong with you. He wasn't trying to be mean." Emma replies in her sassy little voice, "Grandma, SERIOUSLY, I was really sick and it was not the time to be taking pictures!!!" I guess my my parents about lost it!! LOL!!! She is really going to be our CLASS CLOWN!

Funny thing Emma Said on Sunday

Sunday we were meeting my family at the Bolivar City Park so we could get some professional pictures taken. When we pulled into the park Jesse saw our nephew Chase and said "Man, his (Chase's) hair gets darker every time I see him. I replied, "That is exactly how my brother's (Shane's) hair was when he was a little boy. It started out blonde, actually almost white, and turned into dark brown as he grew. Emma is in the back of the van and chimes in "No mommy bubby's (which is what my girls call Shane) hair is like yours, it's got lots of white in it!" Well I'm sure you could all imagine the look on my face!! LOL!! Little Stinker! Christy October 7, 2009
